Supreme Leader Appoints Dr. Jalili as Member of Expediency Council

Ayatollah Khamenei the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution appointed Dr. Saeed Jalili as member of the Expediency Council. The following is the full text of this edict issued on September 12, 2013.

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Dr. Saeed Jalili,

Considering the valuable experience that you gained during the recent years, as Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council - for which I express my deep gratitude to you - I appoint you as member of the Expediency Council for the current term.

I ask Allah the Exalted to bestow success on you.
